In the year 2004, the program “law and economic globalization” with JRC as the core and political science and economics of law as our allies was ratifies as a program in the National 985 Project by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance. With this program as a basis, the Platform of Innovation in Philosophical and Social Sciences was also ratified as the 985National Platform of Innovation in Philosophical and Social Sciences. The purpose of this platform is to integrate our research teams and research resources, to perform a multi-perspective, transdisciplinary and comprehensive study on law and economic globalization, to bring about a series of internationally advanced theoretical achievements, to serve our national and local economic construction and social development, and to build Jilin University into a high-level research-oriented university. Our general plan for this platform is to make this platform a base of theoretical innovation of law and economic globalization, of high-level talents training, of academic exchange, and of the think tank for the tackling of globalization problems by our Party and our government, which is advanced in China and among the best in the whole world in the next 20 years. This will in turn make the discipline of legal theory in Jilin University an internationally well-known discipline.
