In order to promote our legal education, especially our scientific and modern legal education, and to explore educational method for all-round legal talents, JRC researchers dwell actively on researches of legal education and initiate many research programs of national, provincial and ministerial levels. The following programs stand out among these programs: the national quality course construction program “jurisprudence”, the educational reform program by the Ministry of Education “strategic study on the reform and development of China’s legal education in the 21st century”, the program for higher education reform by the Ministry of Education “study on the research-oriented courses and their teaching pattern in the discipline of legal science”, the One Hundred Quality Courses construction program by the Higher Education Press “the multi-layered series of textbooks on jurisprudence”, the educational reform program in the new century by Jilin University “research and practice of humanities education in comprehensive universities”, the construction program for high-level graduate course system by Jilin University “course system construction for graduates in the discipline of legal theory”, all these programs are in the charge of Prof. Zhang Wenxian; the program for the reform of undergraduate education under the project of higher education reform in the new century “on the criteria of the mounting of law majors and the questions in the supervision and evaluation of teaching quality” in the charge of Prof. Huo Cunfu; the educational reform program in the new century by Jilin University “the optimization and reform of system of courses in legal theory education” in the charge of Prof. Yao Jianzong; the first round of quality course in Jilin University “jurisprudence” by Prof. Ma Xinfu; the educational reform program in the new century by Jilin University “theoretical study on research-oriented courses in legal science” by vice Prof. Song Xianzhong; and the educational reform program in the new century by Jilin University “research and practice of the teaching of legal sociology for undergraduates” in the charge of Dr. Yan Yiyi. These researches on teaching and the construction of quality courses provide JRC with a whole set of talent-training scheme and bring with them a series of breakthroughs in respects like the conception of teaching, the allocation of courses, teaching methods, and the construction and perfection of textbooks.
