The library of JRC built in the year 1999 with a total area of 210 square meters, is divided into three sections, namely reading room for books, reading room for periodicals, and lounge. It is a professional library for legal theory research with rich collections, consisting of more than 65000 books in Chinese, and over 7000 books in foreign languages English, Japanese, Russian, German, etc. Some of the special series “American Encyclopedia of Law”, “Chengwentang Series”, “Swedish Human Rights Law”, etc. are shared with the library of Law School. We also have over 5000 rolls of microfilms in English donated by American Hawaii University. The reading room for periodicals has 212 kinds of journals in different languages, 25 kinds of newspapers mainly in Chinese and English, whose subject matters comprise legal science, philosophy, politics, economics, history, culture studies, etc. and academic journals of well-known domestic colleges and universities. This library is managed on computers with inquiry and management system and it will be digitalized and linked into a network.
